Krystal Clark: We Are all God's

Krystal Clark is a stranger to me. I left Huron Valley for the last time in September of 2009. I started hearing about her last year. I recently wrote about her situation, as well as my experiences in prison while I was there. I just came to realize that although it’s the same system, it’s a different governor. Jennifer Granholm was in charge of Michigan in 2004-2008, Gretchen Whitmer oversees Michigan, now. These are two different people. Our current governor is affectionately named, “Big Gretch” by the “Boyz in da Hood”. She has given several of them commutation and released them from prisons in Michigan on drug charges. I know, because she let my “bad ass” little brother go in 2006. He just finished parole in February of this year. I don’t want her to put him back in prison, God forbid, but I do want her to let Krystal out. My brother did 19 years, and that was more than enough time, but Krystal is dying. She wasn’t dying when she got there. She needs better healthcare, healthcare she will not get at Huron Valley.

Gretchen Whitmer has a likeness for drug dealers, I wonder why? I hate to anger her and cause people to question her morales and habits, but in my opinion a drug dealer is a far worse menace to society than a person who robs and steals. Usually, a person robbing and stealing is doing to get drugs. It was so bad in the 80’s they declared war on drugs. Many of my friends died and got killed, had crack babies and got strung out on the street. I believe rehab is the answer, but so many are living in their addiction that they believe that it’s “not that bad,” While drug sentences are longer, rehab sentences are shorter. That’s just wrong. Now, we have a governor who lets drug dealers do and dying people suffer in a hell they’ve created for them.

I am begging you Your Honor, please let Krystal Clark go! Release her and let her get the care she needs. It seems that you care for drug offenders more than you do for her. How could that be true? We are all God’s children and she, God’s child needs help and you can help her. Please, find it in your heart to help her. To the young men who have been released on those drug cases and women, some whom I have helped. Reach out, and ask Governor Whitmer to free Krystal for mercy sake, thank you…
