I love you, Momma!
With all that we’ve been through,
I give thanks to you.
My whole wide world.
I’ll always be your little girl.
You gave life to me.
I will always see.
That you are watching over me.
We had our times, Good, bad, you were in front of my mind.
Through thick and thin,
Nothing was as good as your ham hocks and greens.
We shared a bed until I was thirteen
A good-hearted person, and a close friend.
Woe is me if you could only see,
Always together and for that,
I’ll love you forever.
I was your love boat, zerburts on your thighs,
Life is so fleeting.
I thought you’d be with me all the time.
Momma, I’m not going to lie,
I’ll miss you,
And sometimes I’ll cry and cry and cry.
I know, however, heaven is much, much better for you.
It’s for people like you loyal and true.
I wish we could always be together.
Sunshine, Sunny.
Sometimes it’s going to rain.
You know, stormy weather?
I thought it was forever, but life brings so much pain.
I’ll see you, Momma where the ocean meets the sand.
I love you Momma and that won’t ever change.
