It has been a long run so far for the Mayor of Pontiac, the Honorable Deirdre Waterman. Every year this time, budget time, it gets even more crucial. This is the time that the crooked Council-people etch out the places they want to hide their money. The money that doesn't belong to them, but belongs to the people of Pontiac. They make these accounts that they pillage throughout the year. That's why it was vital that the Mayor has a Finance Director, before the fiscal year began. Finance is not Accounting, but they are closely related. Accounting does what it says, it counts the money, but through these accounts that have specific numbers they are known by. Finance is getting money from different sources. This year the Mayor is planning to sell bonds that will help her rebuild our Phoenix Center. But the money she accumulates will become a part of the accounting system of the City. They have a link to Plant Moran, but the Finance Director is another link to the funds. These funds, are then linked to accounts created for the books. Once the money is allocated to a specific department, they become a part of the City's accounting system. Over the years, with the help of the Finance Director, I believe, the crooked Council Members created fake accounts that they pillage. This new man that the Mayor wants to hire is a scholar of epic proportion. The one thing that he is good at counting is grant money. Grant money is easy to steal. It's just sitting there waiting to be appropriated, and it can easily be misappropriated, because most of the time the citizens don't even know it is there.

Hughey Newsome is a graduate of Harvard School of Business, which says a lot to me. He also has a Master's from Stanford, and a Bachelor's from University of Arkansas. I believe that he also has a PhD in crooked politicians after his tenure in the Flint government. I don't fully understand the reasoning behind him leaving one problem city to work for another. Because the City Council in Pontiac refuse to acknowledge his existence. Even if they don't the Mayor sits him at the panel with everyone else who is a part of her administration. I believe that she is getting his expert opinion on the grant situation, as well as the finances and budget situation in the City. The City is privileged to a lot of grant money, if there is an active grant writer who is good at writing grants, plus whatever grant money the City has in it's pocket over the years. This is important to a thief, because as I said, "Grant money is free money". It can even be designated for a specific program and if the accounting is "shotty" enough, you can say the money is going anywhere you want it to. Like that full-time, now part-time maintenance worker. If they make $18K a year, you can steal a portion of that every month or every two weeks, until the next fiscal year, when you appropriate it for another year. It would be the job of an accountant to know where that money is. I don't think they hired any workers to search the city for needed trash removal, illegal dumping or eyesores, because Going and Irwin sat a pile of rubble for several months. I want to know if the money John Balint gave Kermit Williams is still in an account in Public Works. Either Payroll Payable or some Payable that is found in the DPW Accounts.
I can also tell from the current budget meetings that Kermit has a secret stash with Balint. He's not letting his fellow Council-Members know about it, either. It obviously isn't enough, because he is bucking at the Mayor with all he has. Including threatening to remove her from the Council Meeting by an Oakland County Sheriff's Deputy. They also keep bringing up court cases where they say the Mayor lost. Gloria Miller says that she has paperwork concerning the Mayor's legal troubles at Oakland County Circuit Court. That if you know anything about me, knows that it is the most corrupt system this side of the Mason Dixon. I met a man whose divorce had been in the courts 12 years. Not to mention that the Oakland County Sheriff's Department kidnapped me twice and held me, because I refused to engage in prostitution. And who systematically create fake stalking charges against me and hold me hostage for my body. So, the idea that the courts in Oakland County found that the City owes Clark-Hill a dime means nothing to me. Clark-Hill is in the process of milking Macomb County out of money for defending, the crook, Eric Smith, shamed Prosecutor in Macomb County. Citing the same lousy defense as they did with Pontiac, Smith, like Pontiac City Council, has a right to a defense. Not without approval of the Executive branch of the City. But it's the City Council of Macomb that is questioning them this time. I know for a fact Clark-Hill as a firm in Southeast Michigan has a judge that will side with them in the case.
There needs to be an investigation into Clark-Hill, too. We know that certain lawyers have a relationship with certain judges. It is those relationships that make the difference in Oakland County between a good lawyer and a bad lawyer. That's why so many people get railroaded in Oakland County, as well as other counties. If a judge wants a defendant in jail and/or prison, you go to jail and/or prison. To go against that would mean the next time your in that court you can't get any action. A lawyer who can't get any action is a bad lawyer. Especially, if you are a "court-appointed" lawyer by trade. You know, I told you about them, before. They sit in the courtrooms and pick up cases as they come up. People who fire their lawyer, hasn't been appointed one yet or for some reason an attorney wasn't made available to them. Since most of those who are been charged with a crime is poor, most of them don't have the funds to hire an attorney. It doesn't matter if you're a hire lawyer or court-appointed, the same rules apply. Those who can afford not to sit in a courtroom and peddle for clients are diverse. Clark-Hill is a shark. Kermit Williams got a cut of that $94K. He never even told his own council that he was speaking with an attorney. The city hadn't hired them, how could they get paid? They couldn't, but the judge has the last say and Oakland County is the most corrupt... I don't want to be redundant.
The last time the Council sued the Finance Director. Now, they are forcing the Mayor to go rogue and hire Newsome, regardless of their vote. All the Council can do is request that she not hire him. They can't make her do anything. This man is qualified, and the Council doesn't give a reason why they refuse to hire him. But I guess they don't owe the citizen any explanation. What I think the real problem is that they feel they don't owe the Mayor an explanation. The Mayor has a right to hire who she wishes. I beg for the people of District 7 to recall Kermit Williams. It's the only way to move the city forward without so much strife. He is a money grabbing freeloader on the back of Pontiac citizens. He is slowly going broke and will get more and more mean as the months go on. The Mayor's new Finance Director can detect frauds and liars and thieves quickly. He can bring money into the City and account for every penny. That's what needs to be done. Our Council has robbed the City long enough. They claim that mismanagement sent us into receivership. No, it was embezzlement and accounting tricks that sent us into receivership. Accounting is all done on paper, and there doesn't have to be one cent in the bank to "fix the books" to make it look like you have a balance budget and are in the "Black" and not the "Red". Recall Kermit Williams...
Since I started my recall efforts, I've been targeted. In fact, I was targeted before this. When I began to attend budget meetings last year. The effort is being made to make the City funds Kermit Williams own private piggy bank. With the help from the corrupt Oakland County Judicial System, he will always win. He used the same system to try and keep me out of City business. I have my blog and will reach as many people as I can and watch the budget meetings on TV. The trucks he has trying to run me off the road on Paddock (allegedly) won't deter me either. It will just help expose more of the corruption in Pontiac. Remember, it's all about the money.
