This is Simon Shayket and his wife Veronica. Together they have a son named James. Simon used to work with his wife on Fox 2 News. He left and went Channel 7 News and She had James and never went back to work at Fox 2. I found out they were married when either seven or two did a compilation of their staff and their family one Christmas. I had been emailing Simon for a couple of years or so. The reason I knew Simon is because he was first on Fox 2, and that’s the only channel we can watch in jail. Maybe, because Mike Bouchard is a Republican, and Fox is a republican station or maybe they have a messed-up antenna system, but channel 2 doesn’t come through on my television. I started writing Huel Perkins in jail. I don’t know if he got all the letters, but if he did, he could write a book of his own. Simon could print off all the emails I’ve sent him and write another book of his own. Before he left Fox, he was reporting on a story that had reference to the FBI. While he was speaking, a caption came up that read, “Simon Shayket: FBI Spokesperson”. My eyes got so big. I thought, “Yes, that’s going to be my FBI connection!” Now, they’ll leave me alone! Then he was gone. I was so sad. I thought, “Why would God do this to me?” It was a mere habit to watch Fox 2. Huel Perkins was there, and he knew everything about my experiences in jail. For some reason, one day I was watching Channel 7, and BOOM! Simon was there. I still didn’t know what to do. I liked Channel 7, and was in the habit of watching it, because it came on after The View and Oprah. So, I started watching seven, because Simon was there, and I thought if I could tell him my story and get him on my side, they would leave me alone, “they” the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department. He’s an anchor now, at five, with Glenda Lewis. When I started writing to him, he was reporting from the field or whatever.
One day, I had an interview at Kroger. There was a man who looked like Simon at the other end of the counter. He was waiting for the older woman checking out. I had been watching, because he looked like Simon Shayket. I was thinking, “What a great guy to be taking his grandma to the grocery store.” The weather was snowy and it was a sweet gesture. I kept glancing at him to seem not to be staring or flirting. Y’all, know I have a man, and now I know Simon has a wife and a son. I’m not a home wrecker. OCSD has spoken to every man I’ve ever slept with in Pontiac, but they try to insist that Simon and I are “an item”. None of them were married, the men they’ve spoken to. There are only six, the other three were in Ohio and one is dead. I hate to say this, but I see Simon as FBI and relief, but OCSD could care less. They are the FBI. When I was standing in my cell cussing them out, Alder taped it so he could let their FBI listen to it. When I went to give Simon the sign and he beat me to it, I started writing him emails at the station. What I’m telling him is news and the biggest and best story for Channel 7 News and Simon ain’t a fool. We both get something from this relationship, and those are the best kinds of relationships. I haven’t gotten my Disability check yet. After the third comes and goes, I’m going to email Simon. I don’t know what he will do, because he NEVER writes me back.
Sometimes I write to Simon and the next day when he comes on the air, he looks like somebody beat him with a wet rag. He’s White and Middle Eastern, thus “Shayket”, and he is so cool. He’s like my big brother, even though I know I’m probably a few decades older than him. He used to wear these red jeans all the time, and when I used to say, “He couldn’t be married, no woman would let her man wear the same jeans all the time!” Then I think of my man’s blue and yellow polo. I don’t even see him all the time, and he’s worn it three times. I saw it for the first time in a picture on Facebook in 2010 and the last time a couple of months ago. That means he has owned it for 16 years, at the least. What can I do? It’s his favorite shirt. I guess Veronica picks her battles. I wished I could pick mine. The OCSD keeps trying to make me a prostitute. The Feds just watch and “see what color the walls are going to be”, before they decide to come and rescue me. That includes Simon. He has “Former FBI Spokesperson”. I don’t know what TV Show or movie I got this from, but “Once FBI, always FBI”. "My Boy" Simon:
Proverbs 18:24 - "One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother."
Hey, I'm still here!
